Words are powerful. I’m glad Matthew Perry was able to leave us the gift of his memoir before he passed. I haven’t read it yet, but I probably will now. I can’t say I am surprised by his death, but it does sadden me. At this point, there is nothing to substantiate that drugs were a contributing factor, but it would not surprise me if they directly or indirectly played a role.
He was handsome, funny, rich…and an addict.
Addiction does not discriminate.
His warm nature and comedic presence were appreciated and embraced by audiences worldwide. He united us and that was his superpower.
