Life is like a wicked game of Russian Roulette. Your fortune and misfortune are often linked to genetics and family of origin, but free will and luck-of-the-draw are equally responsible for the plot twists that befall you. ‘Why Me’ and ‘Why NOT Me’ are both fair exclamations to unleash as you hurtle toward your destiny.
This blog post gives you permission to scream WHY ME. It doesn’t make you ungrateful. It doesn’t mean that you lack understanding of how life works or your place in it. Your emotions need exercise just as much as your physical body. You are allowed to feel exasperated, and I encourage you to do so with reckless abandon. Someone somewhere is being suffocated by more desperate circumstances than your own. That does not negate your right to feel. Someone somewhere is taking their last breath. That does not negate your right to breathe. Someone somewhere is feeling their heart break in two. That does not negate your right to love.
It’s ok to scream at the universe…both in joy and in anguish. For it is your breadth of human expression that you unleash into the world that will carry your pulse long after your heart stops beating.
