Isn’t resonance a beautiful word? It means ‘the quality or state of being resonant.’
I heard a quote recently that resonated with me. It’s simple but profound: “You can’t screw up what’s meant for you.” Another way of saying, ‘if it is meant to be, it will be.’
Ah, Destiny…
Are we all hurtling, then, toward a pre-determined fate over which we have no control? Is free will but a mere mirage that offers a semblance of control on the path to where we are meant to be?
We are all born to die. All of us. The “screw-ups” among us didn’t really ‘screw up,’ then, if we are all on a path that is meant for us. A path as unique as a snowflake, with a start and a finish and a plethora of pre-ordained decisions along the way.

Does it help us to ‘leap’ while we are alive, if we believe we will land exactly where we are meant to? Does gratitude enter our lungs more easily, if we are one of the few left standing?
The power of Fear is diminished, the stronger our belief in our destiny. Fairness becomes subjective. We all experience life events that don’t seem ‘fair.’ Fair compared to what? Someone will always have it better, and someone will always have it worse. We assume that some people glide through life until the age of 102 and then die in their sleep.
You know what they say about those who assume…
