A Little MS with a Little MSW

A Mid-Life Slant on Disability and Education

Three Strikes, You’re Out!

Ok, so I struck out on days 1 & 2 of my November writing challenge. Full transparency: I completely forgot. The excitement of Halloween fell upon me and then I got all caught up in Christmas shopping and the awe of autumn leaves! What can I say? It was a costly & colorful weekend and now I have finally arrived in this space to USE MY WORDS!

How’s fall going for you all? I think it’s swell. The one thing I am not a fan of is Father Time recently slipping and falling back one hour. November – February is dark and I am NOT here for it. Well, I mean I AM here for it, but begrudgingly so. I don’t live my best life in the dark OR cold, so this time of year is a biiiiit of a struggle.

I must say, I am finding myself in the Christmas spirit this year. Maybe it’s because of the recent cold snap that has reunited me with my hoodies.Nothin’ but hoodie love in these parts. I am even humming and dancing along to the Christmas tunes emanating from the speakers of the retail shops I have been frequenting as of late! I used to be one of those people screaming, “Can’t we get through Thanksgiving first?!”

Speaking of Thanksgiving, here is the Adam Sandler song to kick off your week!

About Me

I have Clinically Isolated Syndrome. It’s like MS without the ‘multiple’ part. My brain has one sclerosis. Sclerosi? Anyway, it’s a doozy. I am also a therapist working toward independent clinical social work licensure. I have a husband, two adult children, and two poodles. I love to read, write, and exercise. I strive to eat something green and to make someone smile every day!
